THE FOURTH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON VITICULTURE IN MOUNTAIN

The Fourth International Congress on Viticulture in Mountain and Steeply Sloping Areas, organised by CERVIM in collaboration with the Rhône-Alpes Viticulture Steering Committee, will be held in Lyon (France) from 7 till 9 November 2012.
“It will be an important event from the point of view of science and its popularization”- says Roberto Gaudio, President of CERVIM – Rhône-Alpes will welcome the experts in this field, who will exchange views mainly on the topic “Viticulture conquers the slopes again”, whose guidelines will revolve around the aspects of sustainable viticulture in mountain and steeply sloping areas (technical, economic and environmental aspects) and the role of winegrowers in land management, landscape preservation and the promotion of wines and wine regions”.

Previous conferences were held in Italy, in Saint-Vincent, in 2006 (17-18 March); in Spain, in Monforte de Lemos (Ribeira Sacra) in 2008 (13-15 March) and again in Italy in Castiglione di Sicilia (Catania) two years ago in 2010 (12-14 May).
